Recipe: Floral Bath Soak

Recipe: Floral Bath Soak

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and we’re choosing to joyfully celebrate all the opportunities that distance affords us to be creative with our gifts and displays of love and affection!

We’ve created a recipe for a beautiful floral bath soak that you can easily make from home and package up to send over or drop off on her doorstep.

And if you need some help writing a thoughtful and meaningful card, head to our blog post from last year for some tips.

This simple recipe is the perfect thing to gift to someone who needs an evening alone in the tub with a good book. It’s quick and easy to make and looks, smells, and feels luxurious and beautiful.

Ingredients

2 cups whole powdered milk (or coconut milk powder)

1 cup Epsom salts (or pink Himalayan salts to add a beautiful pink hue)

1/4 cup dried roses (buds or petals)

1/4 cup dried calendula

1/4 cup dried lavender

Instructions

Combine the powdered milk and salts.

Mix well, then incorporate the dried flowers and mix again.

Use a small spoon to transfer the mixture in a jar or other glass container with a lid.

To use, pour desired amount in bath and take care to remove any larger pieces of flowers before draining to avoid any clogging.

More than anything, as we deal with the uncertainty of the times, everyone (our mothers and loved ones included) simply need a phone call or a text – something personal and kind hearted to help us all feel a little more connected. If time at home has given you an extra moment, this floral bath soak is the perfect gesture of love to show yourself, your mom, your best friend – really anyone – that you’re thinking of them right now.
