Our friendship with Vancouver-based editorial lifestyle photographer, Gillian Stevens began in a fairly assuming way – via social media. But, through a mutual respect for one another’s work, ethos, and spirit, something special quickly unfolded – leading to several nurturing conversations and the opportunity to collaborate, despite having never crossed paths in person.

In this particular collaboration, select functional pieces from our collection were sent overseas to support a one-day intensive lifestyle workshop held by Gillian, in the stunning lyrical space of a renewed character household in London, England.  Diffuse sunlight upon the natural palette of the interior responds softly to the eyes, and the material palette – to the touch. Raw wood, marble, brass, woven floor coverings span each room and create the setting for the goods we have provided for human enagement and styling purposes.

The workshop focused on visual storytelling through photography. Gillian, alongside talented stylists and designers took participants through each stage of the photographic process – from initial conception, shoot planning, execution, post production, and publishing. The intimate group setting allowed for focused engagement, personal feedback and instruction, as well as space for each student to experiment and try new things, so that they were left with an inspiring portfolio of new work. Gillian’s workshops are an amazing time of collaboration, self discovery and creative exploration. We were so happy to have been apart of it and look forward to sharing our next project with Gillian, with you.
